I am feeling a little guilty about not loosing weight for my wedding. I have a list of excuses a mile long (I had no place to cook all summer becuase of the renos, it's too hot to run..). I could go on. But it doesn't change the fact that I still feel bad about it.

I weigh like, 158 lbs right now. This is my peak. And most people who get married are at their ideal weight. In a way, it's been good becuase I have been consumed with the idea of having to "fit into my dress".

I though when I got engaged that this would be the ideal motivator. It wasn't. I just crave sugar all day long. My will power is crap. I can go all day without junk, and I feel so proud, and still, I binge at the end of the night.

Take yesterday for example. I ate good all day. And then, at midnight (in the middle of poker with Brian and Rob) I mowed down the pizza they ordered. I was so mad at myself afterward.

Speaking of poker. It was my primary excuse for not running yesterday. Rob was helping us move, and one of the first things they moved was the poker table (suprise?). So, they set it up, and that was the end of my nignt. On a postivite note, I kicked some Poker Ass last night. I cleaned those boys out for my first official win. Woo Hoo!

The house looks good. It was like a little sauna last night. It was so hot. We were dripping. Even the fridge wasn't cool enough. We started unpakcing kitchen things, so I could actually cook dinner last night (I was hot with the stove on). I went to Lee Valley & got the cutest ( I mean coolest) handles for the cabinets. I got there and back in 1an hour and fifteen minutes. ( These trips into the city are getting to be a real pain in the @$$).

Today is suppose to be hotterthan yesterday, and tomorrow I think we're going to reach 34. Yikes. Luckily the Air Conditioning is working at the store. It's pretty cool in here. For now.

We have a 30% off coupon today. I hope we're busy, so far we've been steady. Not too bad.

I am wearing the WORLDS SHORTEST SHORTS today. I feel a little self concious in them. So it doesn't help that I got a nice gash on the size of my beautiful (unshaven (but I didn't realise until I left the house)) legs. Now there's a nice bloody band-aid as well.

Tonight is my shower. But like, no one is coming. So that kind of sucks. Jules, Annette, Viola, Greg& Mike, Leah, Dana, like seriously, none of my friends are coming. Oh well. I understand, summer's are so busy. I'm sure it will be fun.

Back In The Classroom........

Tonight is the Vintage Hip class. I am excited for it because it has been just over a month since I have taught a class. This one is cool too. You get lots of "goodies".

The house is looking so good. The hardwood is done. Kitchen sink is in (white apron front). I think that my dad & brian are going to finish up the counter top today. Then, there's just the bathrooms, the railing, and touch ups.

Brian bought a closet organzier at Costco. It looks really good. I think it will be nice to have that, becuase I have so many clothes. It was $250.00. I thought that was expensive, but then, I spend that on a pair of jeans, so maybe not. Funny what you think is worth $250 and what is not. I know that my priorities are askew.

Still not sleeping well. The "situation" in Okotoks didn't help me 'rest at ease' last night either. For those of you who don't know, there's some CREEP loose in our town. On Tuesday morning he broke into a 10 year old girls room with a knife. Luckily she got away. Then yesterday he tried to abduct another kid in our neighborhood (on the other side of town from the first incident). So the RCMP came a knockin' at our door. Took plate numbers, names and all that stuff. We went out for Melle's birthday and when we came home, it was late, and I was nervous. And we don't have kids, but still scray that there's a SICKO out there.

Melle was CRUNK last night. Unreal. She called this morning (suprisingly) and she said she had a good time. I didn't drink but Bri pounded down a few at Jack's house by the fire pit (actually just a garbage can with buring cardboard in it). I got her a hoodie. And then Kendra and I are going to take her to Montreal in November for a weekend to do some shopping. It's nice that we can do that with Kendra working for West Jet.

Our wedding RSVP list is at 117. And we're done. Thank god. That's a lot of people. It's going to be so much fun. We're headed up to the lake on Sunday to finish up a couple things ( I have a meeting with the florist who never calls me back). And we're looking for a better deal on a sound system (we're looking at paying $700 right now. Is that normal?). I am really looking forward to hoping on the Jet Ski and getting out on the lake. I want to waterski this summer a bit. So, I hope we have some time for that.

I am headed to Penticton to chill with Jules for a couple days on the 30th. That should be sweet. A nice little break. I think we're just going to ride our bikes around the wineries and go golfing. Sweet life.

The store was busy ( define busy? like 3 people) this morning, and has been dead since. Maybe the class will generate some buzz. Gosh I hope so.....

Is that a rattlesnake I hear?

The store is dead. I feel like I am sitting in an old western movie. It's bloody hot. And deserted.

I was talking to the florist, and she, as well as the people who own the gaming store, are also dead. So it's good to know I am not alone. But still.... dead. Makes me think, is my time worth anything?

The house looks fab. I think the sink is going in today. Which means tomorrow, we might get in our first piece of furniture. I can't wait. The cabinets look so good. Ikea makes execllent kitchens. I would reccomend them to anyone. Easy to put together, and they look go-od.

I've had crap sleeps since we moved into this house. This morning I woke up and the neighbors were having a garage sale, and I really, REALLY, didn't want to go to work. I mean, REALLY. I just wanted to stay home, and play with the cat, and work in the yard, catch up on laundry, and be boring, but not bored.

I am looking forward to a nice relaxing evening. Hopefully it includes a lawn chair, and an ice cold beer.

I Like It

The hardwood flooring is about 33% done. I like it. It looks really good. Makes all of the white stuff (cabinets, fireplace, ect.) really pop. Love that. Dad is working like a crazy man. And Gordon has been helping tile. Rob was over yesterday. Team effort. I really like it.

The stuff from The Knot came. And it wasn't crap. So mom took it home to store it. She has everything to do with the wedding at her place. Which takes a lot of stress off of me. She's done so much for this "shindig". Now, I just hope the tee's will fit the girls.

Mom is coming to the store today to help me with my stampede window. She's good at that kind of thing. She came up with all sort sof cool stuff. I'll take a picture of her finished "materpiece" and post it.

Last night I was waiting for Brian to get home, so I was watching CSI.............and I got scared. So funny. I thin kit's becuase we have no window coverings. So when Brian finally got home at about 1am, I was happy becuase I could sleep soundly. And to think, I'd already seen the episode, and it didn't scare me the first time. So weird how your mind plays tricks with you.

OK. I am going to get back to work. It's so slow in here. So far our sales are $0.00.
Only 6 more hours to go!

Brain Stew

"The House" is looking so good right now. Brian was giving me heck a couple days ago because these are the last pictures I took and "we've done so much since then". Sorry, Brian. I will go take some more pictures tonight.

Koho is so funny. He really is. Him & Suma (Mandy & Rob's cat) sit on opposite sides of the door all day, talking & swiping their paws under the door. So cute. So then I let him out to play, and he's so scared of her. She's like, half his size & has no claws. But he runs when she looks at him. So cute. Maybe we should get another cat when we move out? Nah!

I've been downloading itunes for my wedding. If any one has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Yesterday we golfed and went to Stampede. It was Brian's birthday.

I did 9 holes and golfed a 62. Horrible. But I had a lot of fun, that's hard to do when you're game is so bad. I think we're golfing tonight at Inglewood (Dana's course).

I had a dream last night that all of my stuff from The Knot arrived. And it was all total crap. I hope that's not the real-life case. I'm anxious for it to come. I hope Aunty Bard has sent it all off.

I'm still on my second tank of gas in the Vino. I love it.

The store is so slow. I've had 2 people in today. Small purchases. It's hard to take. But I know it will get better in the fall. Just gotta' make it through....
